With the wrong side of the facing against the right side of the pocket bag, lay the pocket bag facing over the back pocket bag. Line up the top edges and machine baste together. Zigzag over the bottom edge of the pocket back facing to attach it to the pocket bag. This reduces the bulk; if you are using a lighter weight fabrics, you can use a seam here instead.
With the right sides together, lay the back pocket over the front pocket. Match up the raw edges of the pocket bag and sew the front and back pocket bags together around the curved bottom edge. Make sure you keep the main garment out of the way. Neaten the seam allowance.
Machine baste the pocket bag flat to the side seam of the garment.
