Finishing the central seam

Match up the interfacing at the seam and smooth down to tuck the ends inside the tipping points.

Gently fold over one long edge of the tie, so the raw edge sits just over the centre line. DO NOT PRESS as this will give the tie crisp edges rather than the lovely rolled, plumptious edges associated with a quality handmade item.

Now fold over the other edge and tuck under just enough to create a smooth seam line along the centre of the tie. Pin the seam. DO NOT PRESS.

Hand sew with a slip stitch along the length of the tie.
